Breakfast was fine. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere and when we arrived we had the best welcome we’ve ever had in Spain thank you Laura! Lots of information and help. We loved our room. Ask the rooms are different, so you don’t know what shape your time will be as rings are all built into the original castle, and our windows were high up, but we enjoyed the experience. Parking is very easy in Olite - there are a few public car parks within walking distance of the hotel - you just drive into the car-free town and you have 20 minutes to unload/load - just make sure you give the reception staff your number plate. We were lucky to be in Olite for their annual festival - lots happening and the reception staff are so helpful. They also directed us to a bodega and we were lucky enough to see the delivery of a truck load of grapes as it’s harvest time at the moment. A super experience and an amazing place to stay. We’ll definitely be back.

Olite is a beautiful old town and this Parador in a formidable old building stands pride of place, right in a lovely square beside the magnificent Castle. Our “room” was an impressive duplex but accessible only via a steep, narrow, wooden staircase with a thick jute stair-rope to hang on to, but worth it! Beautifully traditionally furnished, clean, en-suite bathroom, comfortable bed, crisp linen, great views, with plenty of extra cleaned/sealed pillows and not just WiFi but also ethernet connection on the upper level of our room. We did not eat breakfast or dinner in the restaurant, but we ate well and imbibed at the hotel bar, sitting outside on the square accompanied with refreshing locally bottled vino rosado. Parking is possible on the square for loading and unloading only 15 minutes, after which you may park at a nearby public car park, which was easy.

Historic building attached to a castle is well located on a nice square in a pleasant medieval town. Public areas like reception, dining room and the salon impress with stunning, recently updated decor that includes modern glass doors, exposed stone walls, high arches, wall paintings, stylish chandeliers and elegant furniture. On the other hand, the hotel part, at least in the main building, is decidedly older, darker as if created in the sixties of the last century and clearly begging for another update. Our superior double room in the main building was actually a surprisingly spacious junior suite with a separate living room and a big, double-sink bathroom. Old fashioned style was evident in heavy, dark wooden floors and furniture, as well as old lamps and small cabinets. All, I guess, well suited for an old castle.

We are two cyclists on a ride from Cadiz to San Sebastian. Our needs are simple we seek a clean bed and a hot shower – the hotel provided both Reception was welcoming and helpful – we arrived with a mechanical problem with our bikes - reception were able to find a local bike shop - ensure that the engineer was available - book a return taxi to help fix the problem and send us on our way - great service We select the Parador chain for a touch of luxury and enjoy the lavish and expert restoration of historical buildings across Spain - This is one of the best and nicest conversions we have found - use of traditional walls and lay out that have been used by the designers is stuning Excellent in every way - must be one of the top 5 Historical paradors

Our first stay in a parador and it was really amazing. They have done a formidable job of renovating the building while keeping it looking like an old castle. The restaurant was excellent and much better than others in Olite. The breakfast was also great as they cook the hot food to order so you get it freshly prepared. The staff were very helpful and friendly. You can't beat the location as it is practically part of the Olite palace. Our room was really charming with a pair of 4 poster beds and a little sitting area.
